Learn proven methods for bedecking your garden with a kaleidoscope of gems. Among our smallest bird species, hummingbirds are feisty powerhouses of motion and energy and they bring a garden to life like nothing else.

This program will highlight the best plants and feeders for attracting the Anna's Hummer all year and the Allen's Hummer throughout spring and summer.
You will learn which plant species are drought tolerant and deer resistant as well as magnets for hoards of hungry hummers. A photo montage will provide up close looks at the splendidly iridescent feathers of male hummers and the delicately colored females as they brood their eggs on tiny nests carefully stitched of moss, lichens and spider silk.

Join expert naturalist Jan Southworth for this outstanding presentation on Sunday, March 21st from 1pm-2:30 pm in our garden center.
